I don’t talk a lot about credentials, but this one is important to me.
I’m proud to be a Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®), a designation awarded by the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers. It represents the highest professional standard in the organizing industry, and earning it was a meaningful milestone in my career.
I love helping people create systems that make life easier. I love walking into homes where things feel overwhelming and leaving behind spaces that feel calm, functional, and livable. This work matters to me, and becoming a CPO® reflects my commitment to doing it well.

What Is a Certified Professional Organizer®?
A Certified Professional Organizer® is a professional organizer who has met nationally recognized standards for experience, knowledge, and ethics.
To earn this credential, organizers must complete extensive hands-on client work, typically between 1,000 and 1,500 hours, and pass a comprehensive exam that covers organizing principles, client care, and ethical practices. This certification is granted by an independent board and cannot be bought or shortcut.
For clients, this means you are working with someone who has proven experience, follows established best practices, and is committed to doing this work responsibly and thoughtfully.
Why I Chose to Pursue CPO® Certification
Earning my CPO® wasn’t about adding letters after my name. It was about growth, accountability, and making sure I’m providing the best possible service to the families we work with.
The process requires ongoing education through courses and webinars focused on best business practices and professional standards. I’m also part of a community of other organizers who support one another, share challenges and successes, and work together to elevate the industry as a whole.
This certification pushes me to stay current, keep learning, and continually refine how I serve my clients. Maintaining the credential requires continued education, which ensures I’m always evolving alongside the needs of the families I work with.
What This Means for My Clients
Hiring a Certified Professional Organizer® gives you confidence that you’re working with someone who meets national standards and takes their responsibility seriously.
The CPO® credential reinforces my commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and client care. It also distinguishes my work in an industry where standards can vary widely. You can trust that the systems I create are thoughtful, realistic, and designed to last.
Why This Work Still Lights Me Up
I’m proud to be part of a small group of organizers nationwide who have achieved CPO® certification. More than that, the process reaffirmed why I love this work in the first place.
Helping people simplify their homes reduces stress in ways that ripple into every part of life. When your space works better, your days feel lighter. That’s why I do what I do, and it’s why I continue to invest in my growth as a professional.
